A digital human can be a digital clone of a real person, or a fully fictional character — like Indy. Indy isn't made of flesh and blood, yet she feels approachable and human.
WHY
Choosing a study programme means: lots of questions. But you often think of your best questions later. Or you simply find it a bit intimidating to ask them. Especially when it's busy during an Open Day.
That's why Creative Business is using Indy as an experiment: a low-threshold way to help prospective students get information about the programme faster. You can ask your question whenever you want, and you'll get an immediate answer — as if you're talking to a student. At home, in the evening or during the weekend.
HOW
Indy uses AI techniques such as conversational AI. You ask a question, Indy understands what you mean and turns it into a relevant answer. She is connected to a knowledge base with information about the Creative Business programme, such as the study guide.
Indy has her own persona, which makes her feel more approachable. Indy is not a replacement for a student or staff member, but a smart addition.
